Matthew has been admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor since 2009. He was formerly a partner at a preeminent criminal defence firm before joining the Office of Public Prosecutions in 2016. As a Managing Principal, he gained a wealth of experience prosecuting some of the most serious and complex criminal cases across Victoria.
In 2022, Matthew returned to criminal defence and continued to build upon his experience representing clients in a wide range of high-profile criminal matters. Matthew has extensive experience in all areas of criminal law including murder, sex offences, drug offences, family violence, fraud, firearms and weapons offences, theft and dishonestly offences, driving matters and Intervention Orders.
